The beach at Nora is the local beach for the lively market town of Pula. Behind the beach there is an important archaeological site and also the lovely 11th century church of Saint Efisio, the patron saint of Sardinia. In May each year pilgrims celebrate the feast of Saint Efisio by embarking on a long walk from Cagliari to the church in Nora carrying a statue of the saint.
Pula with its many shops, restaurants, cafes and other amenities is just 30 minutes by car from Cagliari airport making it an ideal holiday destination. During the whole of the summer season Pula hosts a live music festival in the town square with a variety of programmes ranging from tradition local music and dance to rock. | |
